I've only ever seen a copy of it once - in a charity shop, where the staff probably wouldn't have put it out if they'd thought they could be killed for doing so. I was tempted, but had a flick through, realised it was a novel, and didn't think the storyline appealed. It was only in a documentary years later, that I heard what was offensive about it, and to be honest, I think the offensive bits would have gone over my head anyway.
