I've never been in the position of photographing someone famous who asked, so maybe that's a different matter.

My shots are usually of someone I've interviewed for a magazine article, or someone I see at an event. I'm happy to supply the interviewee the shots, if they'd like them for their website or whatever. If someone I photograph at an event wants a copy, they're always welcome.

In the instance where the guy wanted me to pose for him in different ways (for free I hasten to add!) I just wanted to use a shot of myself in one of my articles, and he said no. Miserable git. Also he refused to take one on my own camera, so I didn't have a high res one for myself.

My goodwill towards other photographers has been marred by the experience. I will never go into full modelling/posing mode at a photographer's request again unless I have a personal incentive to do so.
