I've heard of people making money doing surveys, but not a lot.

I still think you might find Newsbreak worthwhile. Here's a secret. I made $1117.56 this month on Newsbreak. Last month it was $17 and I nearly gave up.

But you can post 100 word stories about news items - anything remotely opiniony should be labelled 'opinion' - and you need to include references, then it's fine.

Chuck in a few stories about Putin's health - all opinions if you like. And see if you can make that work. It's easier than medium, in that you just post stories and ignore the comments.

Just try it. Post some of your not too sensitive stuff if you want to, but not anything you'd mind turning up elsewhere because they have the right to sub-licence all the work on there.

You are in a much better position than me because you can write about local US stuff, and they will circulate that more widely.

Because I live in the UK, they limit the distribution of my stories, because they want local US stories as their core offering.

Your story about the woman in Target could go on there. But maybe a shorter version, if you like - and work on the titles, not click bait, but try to make them intriguing.

Some of mine have done badly on Newsbreak too, but it's been an impressive month overall!

This is how I've been doing... https://original.newsbreak.com/@susie-kearley-1605153?s=01
