I've had whole paragraphs disappear between edit mode and read mode. It's odd. Fortunately, my disappearing paragraph wasn't that critical. I don't think I can help, but you could try a different type of formatting - perhaps use a different header, or just use bold, or even a quote option (there are two if you click twice). Not ideal, I know.
