I've had some top stories in Vocal, but they're not always chosen right away, so I wouldn't be concerned if your piece is accepted quickly. It might take a week to make top story. I've had a few, which was pretty fluky as I wasn't trying. Perhaps that's the trick. Anyway, they just gave me a $50 bonus, bringing my 2 month total to almost $98 which isn't bad for a newbie. But they've also confirmed that $50 is the last big one, so I'll dial down my efforts. You might as well leave your stories there... they might earn a few dollars.
