I've been watching Dynasty from the 1980s. Back then, it mainly featured beautiful middle aged woman in mixed roles, positive and negative.

The Dynasty remake is full of 20-somethings and there's definitely more representation of younger people on screen. It's definitely an interesting transition.

All ages are represented in some way, but I think success often comes sooner these days. I guess that's the merit of technology opening doors and it's reflected in the programmes people make. There's been some interesting shifts.

I think society has shifted too, to place more value on youth, and less on maturity and experience. That's a shame in some ways.

Good piece. Sorry you got some flack in the comments. I enjoyed it.
