I've been plagued by these too, then someone accused me of clickbait recently when I wrote about the time I made $1000 for one article - and I actually had.

It wasn't on Medium, and he felt the title led people to believe that it was on Medium. Which it does. But at least mine was true.

It was inspired by a bunch of nonsense stories none of which were actually true.
