It's unfortunate that our boiler died a few years before heat pumps started to become mainstream and we replaced the boiler, so the current one is still under guarantee. If it died now, I'd look into getting a heat pump system. We have had problems with the roof in the past, so need to take a cautious approach to solar panels, which is why we haven't got them already. But we're open to the concept, especially now electricity is so expensive.
