It's nice to hear your thoughts Gareth. It's awful for the people picking up the pieces for that long. This is why I struggle with it. When nurses were starting on 22k, I was earning 11k. Now they're on 27k, it's looking like I might take £15k this year. I'm not complaining. But then I don't have to deal with sick people. I have a nice job, but when I was earning 11k, it was a shit job with a long commute, and certainly not something I enjoyed. A lot of the people paying for these rises are not earning as much as some strikers are getting now, but they make do. Saying that, certainly nurses have demanding jobs. And there may be better ways to apportion existing funds so that they can get more. But I'm struggling to be very sympathetic too, to be honest.
