So yes, the agent who managed it might have missed it. But the tenants could have reported it too. We actually suspect the tenants caused it by tampering with it. Once it was screwed up properly, it was fine, and it wasn’t leaking when they moved in. They have a habit of tampering with things.

However, we suspect they didn't notice because the front of the cabinet is also ruined from excessive water being splashed everywhere - it's just harder to photograph the damage to the front.
