I'm sure there are other benefits to being in control of our own law making. But in terms of immigration, it just seems to have changed the dynamics.
I was thinking about the live exports yesterday. I might be that most of Europe is on the same continent, so moving a lorry load of sheep from say, France to Germany, isn't a big deal if it's not too far, or there are breaks on route. But when it's across the water and the poor things are getting broken legs and dehydrated during the process, it's just cruel. So it's a bigger issue for our animals than it is for our European Neighbours.
