I'm now wondering, HOW did I manage to check twice and conclude that they're equally valid spellings? Today I look up what you're saying and find it is true. But I SWEAR, whatever search terms I used last time, concluded that they were both correct!

I'm thinking wreck is like disaster - which kind of fits. But thank you for correcting me. I will actually use reckless going forward.
