I'm not quite clear what your position on this is, but I've heard people argue that menopausal women should be allowed time off work to cope. I honestly think this would be the final nail in the coffin for older women hoping for decent employment.

I've been turned away from a job opportunity just because an employer thought I might have babies one day. We don't need more reasons for them to choose a man.

If we've coped with painful periods that cause a flood for 40 years, hot flushes should be a breeze.

And if someone's seriously ill due to menopause related symptoms, they're presumably entitled to sick leave.
