I'm not a fan. Most people are paying to read on Medium. Before I joined here, I was looking for a way to monetise blogging and looked at BuyMeACoffee as an option, but wasn't keen on the whole begging thing. Then I discovered Medium!

The whole point of Medium is that you get paid through people's subscriptions, so there's no need to ask for more money.

There's no harm in it, I guess, but it is asking people to pay when they've already paid. Which yes, is just like tipping.

I won't be adding that option to my stories. I add a link to Membership sometimes, so they can do that, if they want. :-)
