If it's the one I remember, they were fined for travelling too far when we were told to stay local - not for meeting each other at a distance. Although they should have been exercising during the early part of the pandemic, not drinking tea (so said the rules).

It made my husband and I rethink whether we were allowed to travel to the nearest reservoir - because the term 'local' is a bit vague.
