I wondered if part time would suit you better. It sounded like there were enough positives to not quit completely, but hopefully you'll find something better. I have had jobs I absolutely hated. There weren't any positives, but then, that's why they pay you. It's not supposed to be fun.

Saying that, if you're in a position where you're supported and able to find something better that sounds like a good plan. I hope it goes well. I think attitudes towards work are changing from the bad old days where being miserable at work was just considered normal.
