I think a lot of my regular readers are UK based so still prefer British, and also, I have a personal dislike of having things spelt wrong, and honestly, it looks soooo WRONG! So to settle my sensitivities, I very much like editors who allow my British Engllish to pass. But then today, after fixing one back to British English, it occurred to me, are some of the Medium stuff so stupid they think British English is wrong? Could it be that writing in US English is more likely to get boosted? Because it won't be rejected for having 'errors' in it? I have asked Ariel because I'd like to know.
