I strongly dislike this idea! I live in a nice house and would surely have to pay, but I don't want to pay more to subsidise other people. Saying that, I do think there could be a subscription, like Sky or Netflix, so those people who only watch Netflix literally *cannot* watch the BBC and don't have to pay. That means everyone who wants to watch the BBC would have to pay more, but it would still be a flat rate that people can choose to pay or not pay.
