I seriously doubt this. For example, if I want to type a comment on MSN news, it has to pass an automated spam fail system, which is really easy to trigger if you use certain words. If Medium was really serious about getting rid of this problem, they could make it so that it simply not possible to post messages asking people to contact them on whatsapp, etc.
