I see your points. There are too many people. Better access to contraception and better education might help, but it's a long term goal.
Right now, people won't superglue their legs together, or use contraception because in some cultures they want big families. And western lifestyles are far more damaging anyway than most of the cultures where they have a lot of children.
The problem already exists - too many people. We haven't got time to fix that before the tipping point, so that puts the onus on the people who are here to reduce their consumption.
I see your reference to 100 companies at the foot - I cannot read the site, as I'm blocked out by a cookies notice, but last time I looked at that list they were virtually all power companies supplying fuel. If we stop using so much fuel, they stop creating so much fuel/carbon. It's supply and demand.
I just think the situation is so dire, we need to do everything - everything you say, and what the other environmentalists say too.
But people won't, so we're doomed. And I pity the wildlife and the poor who'll suffer the most.
