I really don't know. The House of Lords and whether it should exist has been a long standing debate, and there have been times when I've felt it should be abolished. During the Brexit debate, I might have had one of those moments.

But what should replace it, if anything, is a massive question and not an easy one to answer. I sometimes think it's good to have privately educated people in top positions because they do, I think, have a greater understanding of certain issues that some people, just don't. But they can also lack empathy with underdogs.

I already feel like I simply don't have the understanding to answer this question... and there lies the problem. I hope people representing us do have more knowledge and understanding than me. I would worry that in a People's Assembly, they would not.
