I have two accounts. One for my journalism and one for my books. The journo followers have no interest in my books and I feel like I'm irritating people if I even mention them. The author account followers are more tolerant of the odd book promo and will even RT and buy a copy occasionally. The journo account gets virtually no engagement. The author account gets loads of engagement. I do wonder if I should just close the first, but I've followed editors and magazines that I might want to pitch to - which was a key reason for keeping them separate. The author account was about growth, to a point - so I knew I'd lose sight of the important stuff I was following once I started the follow back thing. Now I'm more selective. Two accounts work well, except that I've almost lost interest in the journo account, because of the good engagement on the other one. Hey ho.

Oh... and neither of them are interested in my Medium stories. Do I need a third!? Please no!
