I have started to realise that there are a lot of retired people on here and my two best performers last month were about my 'old man' husband!

I've noticed two writers who get 40-50 comments on every story and both earn roughly the same as me, even though I only get 10-20 comments most of the time. I think that's the R4R effect. Although one publishes less, so she's earning more per story.

They probably wouldn't call it R4R because it's not literally 'I read one, you read one back' but it's basically a system of mutual support that's adding a lot to the comments, without adding so much to the earnings.

I thought they'd both be earning twice what I'm earning because of the level of comments they get but they're not, which is what makes it so interesting.
