I have heard this stat recently, and feel with all the work I've put in, I should have reached the $1000 mark, but I haven't. I still feel frustrated because I feel I can deliver quality, but end up publishing lower quality stuff because no one reads the quality, while articles on Medium get read. I guess I'm an example, because I've just clicked on to read your articles about Medium, so I'm as bad as the next person. A common interest, I guess.
