I felt the key message from his book was not to waste your money on shit, like most people do, but to invest it. I agree that this is a good principle. As for the opening quote, I take that to mean he's not the world's best writer. That doesn't mean what he's saying is wrong.

Having said that, I did read his book on investing, and that's a waste of time for most of us because it says the big money investments aren't available to most people. So you can only push those principles of save and invest so far.... unless you're rich and special. 😆
