I feel frustrated by the jet setting lifestyles of some of these young people, who blame everyone else, but who are massive consumers and won't make changes to their own lives. I also appreciate that's a broad-brush perspective, and not true of everyone.

Like them, I'm frustrated by older adults too, but as someone who does see the value in individual responsibility, I struggle with the consumer culture and the travel that I see among some young people, while blaming everyone else.

I'm changing. I changed 20 years ago. I don't have a passport. I'm vegan. I don't have the latest gadgets. I don't have a phone. I've not seen the world. My first flight was short haul age 25, and I've only taken 3 in my life. What about them? Everyone needs to step up.

But I also appreciate that they're getting the message out, and that's valuable too, so I guess if we all do something, there's hope.

Yet, despite my greatest efforts to take personal responsibility, I feel that people won't change - even the environmentalists won't change. We're doomed.
