I don't know how you'd do that. I mean, the Euro was an attempt at that, but then the downfall of Greece could have caused the downfall of the currency. It means a country has no control over the value of their currency and anything could happen, although I'm no expert. It seems to me that in a single currency situation, the UK economy could be wrecked by events in Africa over which we have no control. Making them equal isn't the same thing, but then that's why they fluctuate.
