I don't know. Maybe if he was just going through the feed and didn't realise how hateful it was. Some people apparently thought it was satire, until they read it. I've wondered about that since it happened. It's possible he thought freedom of speech was more important than quashing hate speech. I didn't see the article. I really have no idea. I just don't feel I'm in any position to judge. I didn't see the article, and I didn't see what state the editor was in when he pressed publish. I've personally accidentally ordered a camera lens from Hong Kong, late at night when I wasn't concentrating! The fact that the publication published 24/7 was quite an achievement and perhaps they over-stretched themselves. It does seem odd though. I'm not completely blind to the possibility that he might have sympathised with some of the sentiments expressed, but I don't feel I'm in any position to make that judgement.
