I did wonder if I shouldn't have shut down my publication, but I found it so stressful having to be constantly dealing with copyright infringement, only to then find that using creative commons images wasn't risk free either, and that the cross checks and crediting on Wikimedia Commons needed a lot more attention to detail than most writers were prepared to give.

People refused to use the CC sites in the submission guidelines, argued that there weren't any suitable shots on those sites.

It ended up damaging more relationships on here than it built. Then there was the submission of poor quality stories, many of which I accepted not to offend anyone, and so it goes on. It ended up being a huge headache and a low quality publication. And it did nothing to improve my reads, as I'd hoped it might.
