I did apply for a part-time job once in the local church office, doing the monthly magazine and newsletters and admin. I don't think I was a bad candidate, but they gave the job to someone else - someone who actually went to that church, I think.

But something like that would still suit me. Something I could walk to. I hated commuting. I hated the office environment and I do like being able to go for a walk whenever the hell I want.

I might just give up and live off husband's pension when he retires, but I like my writing career. I'd hoped to salvage it...

Without feeling like I'm being an idiot by working full-time for $4k.
