I did a little test with someone who wanted to know what their read as a Friend was worth. I've since done more tests. It's interesting. I conclude that what matters most is whether you as a reader, are new to the writer. I can drop the link with my initial findings if you want. But the bottom line is You get more for the first read, less for the second from the same reader, and by read number 5, you're onto one cent. Whether this renews at the turn of the month remains to be seen. I will find out in a few days.

Oh, and that easily trumps friend or standard membership.
