I assumed I'd be able to get a job at 16 and work my way up too.

uld be replicated, even though I never progressed up the career ladder as well…d in local government since 21, and assumed I would be on a trajectory to retirement in my sixties. Work hard, believe in public service, and I assumed the career of my father could be replicated, even though I never progressed up the career ladder as well as he did.
