I am 100% with you and have been writing about the same issues in the last few days. It's driving me crazy. The place is overrun with bots. And Medium has even been promoting one of them. You are right about the generic AI text and all those AI comments and bot comments. My latest boosted piece has been completely taken over by them. I've started blocking some, but don't want to mistakenly block a human. It saddens me too.

Best approach - if it looks like a bot, it probably is. Ignore and focus on reading from the real humans. That's where you'll find value. And Medium is allegedly trying to suppress AI stories, so the bots are relying on their fake engagement to get your attention.
