I agree we need governments to act, but I don't dismiss the impact of individual actions and feel both are important. I'm one of those who doesn't fly, or have children, or eat animal products. I agree we need to keep fossil fuels in the ground.

I also agree with the protests. I just don't agree to flying halfway around the world to attend those protests or buying a load of shit we don't need, while complaining about people in China producing a lot of shit we don't need.

We had people from Australia coming to COP in Glasgow to protest.

As for Greta, I was just frustrated. I have huge respect for her work and I turned off messages because everyone was saying the same thing and I didn't want to respond to them all. She has autism. She's young. I should be ashamed of myself. OK. It was getting unpleasant. You're welcome to like those responses and move on.

Me? I’m living as sustainably as possible, not buying anything I don’t need. Buying second hand when I do need something, and always lobbying our government and local authorities to do more.

I explained for anyone who actually read to the bottom my reasons for turning comments off. 70% of people don’t read to the bottom.

Thank you for raising your concerns. I think we’re actually just taking different positions but agree on the fundamental things, that we need to act — together as nations, and fast!
