I agree in principle. A lot of these stories are clickbait.

Saying that, I'm not entirely convinced that if someone had $250k they wouldn't write about making $100 a week. I mean, perhaps it’s a retirement income. Perhaps they like writing and are indeed making $400 a month on Medium, which isn't that 'out there'.

However, the guy who wrote about how to make a story go viral, yet seems to have never had a viral story himself, might be winging it.
