How is the tone different? More positive and not moaning about earnings?

Trouble is, I have a Substack account, but only subscribers for a free newsletter. To get it to a stage where people want to pay, it is going to take a lot of time working for nothing on there.

That's another distraction from the real work I should be doing, chasing with magazines and newspapers. I'm doing that too, but it's demoralising, and penning something on these platforms feels more productive.

But I think that's the wrong way of thinking about it. Because the pitching eventually pays off. The blogging income is very unreliable.
