Hi Russell, This is interesting as one of the publications I write for has a black background, and the only thing they can do about that is change the colour scheme in the template. I assume they don't want to to that. It might be because dark backgrounds are easier on eyestrain. Or perhaps they use less power. It's an eco-topic, so that would make sense.
