Hi Audrey, As an Illumination editor, I wonder if I could ask you something? I've had a story in the queue for over a day. It's time-sensitive, so I'd like to know if they're going to publish. I did add a note asking them not to change it, because it's a little controversial (climate change) and I don't want my diplomatically phrased sentences changed. I also said I'd like my British English to be left alone. Was that wrong?
Anyway, they've never taken more than 4 hours to approve my work before, so I'm wondering what's going on. We're onto about 26 hours now.
Is it rejected? Do the powers that be not want me to submit any more? Am I in the dog house? Why will no one reply? Is US English compulsory - it's no big deal if it is, but you might want to add that to the submission guidelines (I did check, before leaving the note).
I don't know if you can help, but Dr M doesn't reply - I'm sure he's inundated with messages. I don't know what to do. Thanks. :-)
