Having been accused of this when I was just writing about trying to find positives in difficult situations, I find the whole thing unhelpful. People need to get real. If they're miserable because they're miserable because they're miserable.... maybe someone saying, hey, it's not so bad, might encourage a different perspective. But obviously, if someone's died, that's probably not appropriate. People are too willing to fling 'toxic' accusations around to anyone just trying to be helpful.
