I have to admit, I'm one of those people who on Medium would rather not be edited at all! Unless there's a typo I've missed.

When a magazine pays me a couple of hundred pounds and changes my copy to something I didn't mean, that's their prerogative.

When an editor on Medium changes my voice, I don't like it, because I might only earn 50 cents. They haven't paid me for the privilege to edit my copy. I write things how I want them written.

So it's a tricky balance because I do want the reach of the publications, but not the editing. 😄 When I've reached the dizzy heights of people like Jessica Wildlife, I'll just self-publish.
