Good try, but they are refusing anything except for a photo ID. Apparently there is a photo ID scheme people can apply for when they can't get served in a bar. That's what I'd need to do if I can't get a driving licence. But that also has a 3 month wait, so I'm just hoping the driving licence comes back within the time it's supposed to.
