Good summary. I like to trust our leaders. I think a lot of people do, but the recent covid inquiry in the UK shows how completely incompetent they were and makes me think I had too much trust in them.... Saying that, we did go into self-imposed lockdown 2 weeks before everyone else, so I didn't trust them that much. And we avoided indoor public spaces until quite recently. We're still careful.
