Four cents is obviously possible. But four cents per read is not my new normal. I still get about one cent on stories that attract few readers, like my health pieces. The more popular topics, like Medium, seem to get 2-3 cents on average. But I'm not getting 4 cents on average anywhere. If one read pays four cents, another read pays one cent to balance it out. When Medium pulls the plug on Medium meta, those earnings will be zero. What joy! 😂
