Fair point. I am taking his comment about needing to keep money in the business, or 'run it like a business' and 'dollar and one cents' (make profit) - and working on the assumption that the previous status quo was not delivering enough of that.

But no, I'm not pretending to have other details. Only that it is a deliberate policy decision. He's not saying it shouldn't have affected real writers. He seems to think this is in line with the plan. 😖
