Exactly. I write a lot of stuff that isn't for writers, and others here affected by the fallout do the same. I also write for writers because those stories get read. The ones on other topics often don't. So unless Medium changes its algorithm to recommend stories on other topics to all those readers, the only way for some of us to make an income seems to be to appeal to the many writers. Except that doesn't work any more. And neither does writing about horses, mental health, health, culture, history, or anything else it seems.
