If they stay on for less than 5 seconds I thought it didn't register as a view, so leaves the read ratio in tact, because there are legit reasons to click away, like picking up a link to share. But this def looks really creepy and horrible! I sometimes wake up to lots of notifications and it's just a lot of spam activity.
