Certainly, if you can cut what you want to say in half and use the same content for 8 short posts instead of 4 long ones, then yes, it would be easier and might be more lucrative.

It will be an interesting experiment!

I used to try and cut things for the shortform publications and ended up realising I was doing myself out of earnings by cutting things to keep them short. But these days, it could work.
