Call me weird, but I wouldn't consider someone who uses AI to generate an image an artist. A conman, perhaps, if they're then entering into an art competition, but artists create their own images from scratch. It's hard work. It takes time, skill, patience, and that's why art costs a lot of money. Anyone who's trading as an artist but just puts words into an AI generator then sends you 'their' art, is not an artist, in my opinion. But hold that thought, while I read the other two thirds of the article! :)
