Beautifully written piece. Gotta admit, the points you make are some of the things that put me off upgrading my membership. The platform is clogged up with terribly written articles, sometimes in broken English, on how to do well on Medium. And why would anyone want to pay for that? Except that we're all drawn to them like flies on shit.

And worse, they perform better than many much better pieces on other topics, which is just depressing.
