And some people actually started publications so they could apply. Yes, it would have been nice to have been told earlier wouldn't it. I missed this and only found out yesterday.

They don't value our time or work. It pisses me off a bit. The whole thing of nominators getting writers to make a lot of edits, looking for research that doesn't exist, and spending ages scrolling through trying to find the perfect shot - because the nommer didn't like the first choice. Only to be told 'no' is also annoying.

I don't feel they should be dishing out work without some kind of commitment on their part.
